New update to our site!

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

We have updated our site to help you get your job done easier.  This launch was primarily a response to customer feedback, which always helps us determine what to improve first.  Thanks for the feedback.

The recent launch introduces several customer-requested new features, including:

·       Latitude/Longitude information to download files in Family Tree and Company downloads

·       New data points – such as manufacturing indicator, rents/owns and square footage – to Company and People data downloads

·       Ability to create custom keyword Triggers (in addition to the existing company and industry Triggers)

·       List and table view options to the Company People page

The release also brings more parity with the classic site, with the addition of:

·       “Find Similar Companies”

·       Build A List enhancements

·       Biographies and more People to Company PDF reports

·       Unique user-generated job titles

Finally, the update includes some defect and bug fixes that will provide a better customer experience, like improved print formatting on Company records and speedier Build A List load times.

March 2010 — New Products from Hoover’s!

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

We are thrilled to announce the launch of new products and features of our website!  Hoover’s is dedicated to updating our subscriber website so that our customers can accomplish their sales, marketing, and related business goals with speed and confidence.

Sales Triggers: Hoover’s launched an alert system called Sales Triggers; what that means is that customers can select to receive news about companies, and that news will provide them with critical advantages in selling to prospects in new and developing channels.  for instance, if a customer decides to track triggers for Darden Restaurants, she will receive news in her email inbox the day after it occurs, so she can act on it and leverage the timely intelligence to close deals quicker.

PDF Reports: Customers can now download and print complete company overview reports in an Adobe pdf format.  The Hoover’s Product managers received a ton of customer feedback on this one, saying “Hey, love the new site but it’d be even better if we could get pdf reports of the companies…”

So, we’ve acted on this request, reinstating some core functionality that customers told us they needed back in the site.  If you like what you see, please send chocolate.

8 Digit SICs on Build A List: The SIC industry browse now drills down to the 8 digit SIC codes, rather than the 6 digit SIC codes.  For months, we at Hoover’s have heard from our customers, who are saying “I have closed sales deal upon sales deal using the 8 digit SIC code in my list building and messaging.”  So, what we’re doing is putting that 8 digit code in front our of customers so they can jump on it and close more biz than ever before.

This is just the latest preview into what we’re doing at Hoover’s this year for our customers.  More than ever before, a slight competitive edge in business means the difference between the closed deal and the unanswered voice mail.  Between the closed sale and the unanswered voice mail, which side would you rather be on?  Hoover’s is here to put you one step closer to closing that deal.
